The Allure of Rosé Champagne
What are the distinguishing identifiers of Rosé Champagne?
- The Seductive Color: Lallier Rosé, for example, reveals a fresh, invigorating, light pink color
- The Captivating Aroma: Lallier Rosé is fruit-dominant on the nose, with fresh cherry, red currant and raspberry notes. It also reveals delicate hints of apple and mandarin.
- The Flavorful Journey: expect a rounded taste of red fruits and floral notes, followed by intense freshness and a delicate acidity, with salty length.
- The Versatility: Rosé Champagne effortlessly complements a myriad of culinary creations. Suggested pairings include raw fish or shellfish, such as lobster or king crab.

How Rosé Champagne is Made
There are two methods used to produce Rosé Champagne. The first, known as Rosé d’assemblage, involves blending white wine from Champagne with a small amount (between 5% and 20%) of red wine from Champagne. The second, Rosé de macération, is produced when the juice of red grapes are macerated with their skins for 36 hours. When maceration times are shorter, between eight and 12 hours, this is known as Rosé de saignée.
Lallier Rosé is a Rosé d’assemblage. Its singularity results from the unique blend of still white wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, with 7% of Bouzy red wines, vinified to be soft yet powerful. Bouzy is a Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, known for producing high-quality Pinot Noir. The Rosé d’assemblage method deftly brings together the fullness and intense character of the Pinot Noir with the emblematic freshness of the Chardonnay. The red wines from Bouzy bring the delicate pink color of Lallier Rosé, the structure, fullness and fruitiness of Pinot noir, and a light bitterness lifting the crispness of the wine
Aged for a minimum of three years (36 months)—exceeding the appellation’s requirements of 15 months—Lallier Rosé develops depth and complexity during its extended slumber in our cellars. The perfectly integrated dosage of eight grams of sugar per liter allows the wine’s bright acidity and fresh notes to shine while lending the Champagne a delicate sweetness.
To fully experience the perfect pour of Lallier Rosé, Sarah Durand, our global brand ambassador, recommends serving it between 46–50°F (8–10°C). This temperature range allows the wine’s aromas to fully unfold.
