Since 1999, Lallier has released nine Millésimé blends, each reflecting the highest excellence of a remarkable year. Each Millésimé offers a slightly different character based on the harvest, but upholds the balance of purity, intensity, freshness and depth that makes it a definitive Lallier Champagne. 2012 was a challenging year for the Champagne region. The vine growing season was stuck with frost & mildew; however, the grapes that survived these climatic incidents reached a beautiful maturity during the harvest. Lallier rose to the challenge, while the vintage was small in volume, it made for exceptional quality and a highly sought-after offering.

It was a tough wine growing season. Waves of frost affected the harvest potential, but it was the mildew that greatly reduced the yield. Fortunately, the grapes ripened in excellent conditions, providing an exceptional quality that allowed us to produce an exceptional vintage, with great ageing capacity.
