THE RÉFLEXION R.022

From our Réflexion Champagne collection, the new R.022 Multi-Vintage Brut captures the purest nature of Champagne terroir individuality and interprets this year through a renewed expression. Réflexion is the heart of Lallier style, the perfect balance of Lallier signature atmospheres: Purity, Freshness, Intensity and Depth.

Champagne Lallier Champagne Lallier

THE ORIGINS

Sourced predominantly from the 2022 harvest, which makes up 80% of the blend. 2022 was an exceptionally sunny year, breaking the records of 2018 and 1990. The excellent weather conditions throughout the growing season allowed for a magnificent harvest with perfectly healthy and ripe grapes. Wines from 2022 are intense, deep, with a dense and fresh finish.

Chardonnay dominates the blend at 52% this year. Grapes were sourced from several crus within Côte des Blancs, Montgueux and Côtes de Sézanne. Pinot noir represents 38% and grapes were sourced from Montagne de Reims, Aÿ and Côte des Bar. Finally, Meunier counts for 10% of the blend, coming from Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne.

THE BLEND

The harvest of 2022, which makes up 80% of Réflexion R.022, offers intense and fresh aromas of white flowers, such as acacia and hawthorn, as well as delicate lemon aromas. After a brief swirl in the glass, R.022 reveals enticing fruity notes of vine peach and apple. Subtle hints of hazelnut and spring honey complement the bouquet. They come from 2021, 2020 and 2019 reserves wines (20%), patiently aged on fine lees, and from slow maturation in our cellars.

THE EXPERIENCE

Lallier Réflexion R.022 is a versatile Champagne that can be enjoyed on its own, as an aperitif or to accompany a meal.

  • Palate

The attack is rich and intense, with a gentle warmth, characteristic of the 2022 harvest. Chardonnay brings finesse and freshness to the mid-palate, culminating in exceptional length and leaving a beautifully structured finish.

HOW TO DRINK LALLIER RÉFLEXION R.022

  • iconTHE RIGHT GLASSThe choice of glass is essential for the development of notes and effervescence. The ideal glass for R.022 is somewhere between a flute and a wine glass: long stem, wide bowl and narrow opening.
  • iconTHE RIGHT TEMPERATURETo reveal the full potential of this Champagne, serving temperature should be between 8°C and 10°C. Anything colder will limit the wine’s full expression.

HOW TO PAIR LALLIER RÉFLEXION R.022

R.022 can be enjoyed as an aperitif, on its own or paired with small bites such as cheese gougères or canapés with Mediterranean vegetables.
R.022 can also serve as the perfect companion at the start of the meal with fresh and intense dishes featuring seafood or white fish (such as seared scallops or cod tartare with yuzu). Pairing R.022 with herb-crusted chicken or Sicilian caponata will reflect the gentle warmth, characteristic of the 2022 vintage. The structure and density of R.022 also allow this cuvée to be paired with white meat dishes such as veal.
